Do materialized views update automatically if one depends on the other?

If two materialized views a and b, where materialized view b depends on materialized view a, will b be updated automatically when a is updated?

Yes, if materialized view b depends on materialized view a, then b will be updated automatically when a is updated.
Cascading changes can happen on stream for materialized views.
