Is there a way for a user to grant permissions on objects they created to another user in RisingWave?

I'm trying to understand the permissions model on RisingWave objects. As a user who created objects in RisingWave, I want to grant permissions on those objects to another user. Is there a way for a user to grant permissions on objects they created to another user in RisingWave?

  • In RisingWave, as of version 1.7.0, there is currently no direct way for a user to grant permissions on objects they created to another user.
  • The owner of an object in RisingWave does not have the ability to grant permissions on that object to other users.
  • To grant permissions on objects created by a user to another user, the user needs to have superuser privileges or rely on a superuser to grant the necessary permissions.
  • Attempts to grant permissions directly on objects created by a user to another user may result in permission errors or internal errors in RisingWave.
