I am unsure how late arriving events are processed by RW. Given a watermark ensures that all events produced by a window occurred at the same time as or after the a current watermark. If a event arrives with a ts before the current watermark, is that event dropped? How does RW handle these events?

Late arriving events are dropped in RW.
When an event arrives with a timestamp before the current watermark, RW will drop that event.
This ensures that only events occurring at or after the current watermark are processed in RW.
